For 20 years Rick’s Café has been committed to bringing world-class jazz to Casablanca. To celebrate this achievement, we are honored to host two preeminent musicians from across the Atlantic to teach jazz master classes.
From March 1st - March 3rd, Paul Bollenback and Heidi Martin will set up shop at Rick’s to entertain, impress, and instruct. We invite you to learn from these jazz masters so you can join us in our efforts to continue making Casablanca sing.

PROGRAM
♦ Saturday, March 2nd
From 3:00 -5:00 pm.
“Improvisation, Language, and Tunes, Tunes, Tunes”, a Master Class with Guitarist and Composer Paul Bollenback.
Attendees will learn about improvisation, chord voicings, technique, jazz vocabulary, and how to work on standard tunes. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their guitars.
Master Class with Vocalist and Composer Heidi Martin
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in vocal breathing and ear- training exercises, discussions on phrasing, improvisation, and composing.
